So who the hell are you guys?
Founded in 2005, the Philistines Motorcycle Club really started out as a bunch of guys who didn't have a home in the club community for one reason or the other. Most of the Charters were from a riding club in Northern Virginia and had been riding together for quite some time.
What started it all off was when we noticed that we:
a) always rode with the same handful of guys
b) didn't really like most of the other people in the riding club
c) started to find the idea of being associated with some asshole who had a Goldwing and $18 simply because we'd bought the same patch nauseating
We sat around and after much debate and a whole crapload of alcoholic beverages, decided it was time to splinter off on our own. The Charters decided that the only way to live the lifestyle we wanted was to keep the club traditional - V-Twins only, men only, nothing smaller than 800cc's, and to be an MC vs. an RC. We wanted traditional prospecting, exclusivity in our membership, and the "no bullshit" kind of brotherhood only a patched club can bring.
We reached out to our local club community - 1%ers, neutrals, support clubs, etc... and after a good deal of discussion, the decision to patch up as a new club was reached because we simply didn't fit any other mold - mostly because we take Metrics as well as Harley's.
PMC is sanctioned by our local club community as an independent, non-territorial two-piece patched MC based in Northern Virginia and with chapters in surrounding areas. We maintain that independence and neutrality. Our business is our business, yours is yours. Stay out of ours, we'll return the favor.
